Syed Hassan Murtaza terms changing of BISP's name a 'conspiracy' against, women, poor, democratic culture

LAHORE: Parliamentary Leader of Pakistan Peoples Party in Punjab Assembly and Provincial Secretary Information Syed Hasan Murtaza said that the move to rename the Benazir Income Support Programme is a “conspiracy” against Pakistan’s democratic culture and against poor, adding that this is the conspiracy of Imran Khan. The government wants to end this pro-women and pro-poor program.
While terming it a conspiracy he said under this conspiracy, hundreds of thousands deserving people have been removed from the list, he cautioned the selected government will first change its name, then curtail its funds and eventually shut down the program.
In a statement issued here from his office he has said that the agenda of Imran Khan is the end of democratic roots in the country. Imran Khan and his entourage are constantly engaged in conspiracies against democracy.
He maintained that in this fascist regime parliament is weak, legislative work is being run through ordinances; the President remains the ordinance factory.
“Imran Khan has been a follower of dictators; Hitler, Ayub and Zia are his ideals, he always quotes their examples”, he added.
Hasan Murtaza said that the selected [Government] wants to erase all signs of democracy from the country. The rulers are the enemy of democracy and the poor.
He said that the Benazir Income Support Program is not only empowering women, helping poor but also supporting the economy.
